I'm 5 ft 1 and ordered my first Jeep back in May. No manuals were available to test drive and I didn't realize how different Jeep's were. I'm having to sit way too close to the wheel. I ordered pedal extenders and getting them installed this weekend. Hopefully they help!

Maybe I have long legs, but I’m only 5’9” and have no issues with the clutch being long.

I noticed this when test driving manual JLs. Glad I came across this thread!

I just got my JL on Monday. I haven't really taken notice of the long clutch throw. My distance from the steering wheel seems decent (I'm 5' 10" on a low gravity day). What I have noticed is that the clutch is super light - not a ton of feel or resistance like my other cars. That's taken some getting used to. That said, I love this thing. I'm still breaking in the engine so I haven't gotten on it too much and I haven't tried and quick shifting. Not sure I'll ever have the need for that in this rig.

The only time the clutch HAS TO GO ALL THE WAY DOWN--is to start-

The rest of the time the clutch can be depressed only half way for shifts--

It's a HYDRAULIC CLUTCH--find your happy medium--

Good luck

This sounds great. But how does that change how close the seat needs to be?
Additionally you don't actually need the clutch up shifting at all if you can match speed and rpm.
Not the best for longevity though

You can make turns by "SKIDING" too, you don 't even have to use the steering wheel--leave it locked--

You can save gas by not starting the engine too-
