Lol I did have a pucker moment hoping I did it right.
Now the fun part of understanding what happened is to rip the old fan relay off the board and look at the burned up fan relay contacts, if you want to see them.😃 you will have to break the black relay box open to see them.

Not sure what I’m looking for but the only thing that around out is that yellowish/orange stuff

It wasn’t the relay, it was this capacitor.. I see the burn mark

Right in the center big blue one has a burn around it

Make sure you remove that tape that is holding the door safety switch closed. You don't want to mix combustion air with recirculating air. Good job on fixing it yourself. So sad that a "tech" threw parts at your furnace instead of diagnosing it. That was an easy one for a real tech.

Like many forums, there's a lot of talent here. Good to see the moderators let this run its course. A friend just went thru this on his HVAC at his house on the high desert. He called me for help. Unfortunately, I probably wasn't much help. He got a board, which was his suspicion from the start, and it was fixed.
