Selling my radio UAG 7” with matching bezel. Upgraded to 8.4”. I have the radio code ready to go with about 11 months left on the SiriusXM. Asking $350 or best offer. Local pickup in DFW area and I live near the Fort Worth/ Arlington border. I can also ship at buyer expense. A little dust on the screen but no scratches or damage.

Is this plug n play for a 5” swap? Does it need to be flashed?

7” to 8.4” is plug and play for sure. 5” to 7” or 8.4” is plug and play but the volume controls have to be used on the steering wheel to my knowledge. There is a thread about swapping on here.

Where did you find the 8.4” and the bezel? This is exactly what I want to do. Didn’t see any on-line. Going to check with dealer tomorrow.

I found both on eBay. The bezel part number is 6AB55TX7AB. Saved me a few bucks over the dealer.

Likly going to have to go eBay way.

Went to dealer, still saying there is no aftermarket upgrade for JL. Parts had sales manager glance in my window and he said “if there was an upgrade, it would take a lot to put in due to all the changes needed”. Found it odd at a Jeep/Chrysler dealer had to glance at my 2 month old car through the window to see a 7” uconnect. The parts department said it would have been no problem for older model, but they heard Chrysler is saying it is not compatible with JL, he is going to double check for me.

PS they had a modified sport JL, new, on floor for $66,700.

Upgrading from a 7" to an 8.4" should work fine assuming you have the automatic AC option and all of the sensors.
The upgrade from 5" to 7" is a lot more work AND requires a dealership flash (which they have refused to do, so far) to get everything working.

I’ve read that thead, and maybe this is best asked there, but you completed this successfully, so I’ll ask here. Two questions:

1. Do nav directions show up in instrument cluster center after upgrading 7” to 8.4”

2. I’ve installed aux switches but not had the 7”
Radio flashed yet. Do you have aux switches? If so, did you have to have new radio flashed?
