Haha I didn’t mean for it to sound like I didn’t believe you, more saying that having multiple sources confirm it was reassuring. It’s crazy that the spline count is that different. Is the mounting surface/bolt pattern the same and just the spline count different? Just so I know for future knowledge
Yeah the bolt pattern is the same but the shaft coming out the back of the transmission has different spline count so it won’t fit into the transfer case input spline.
JK Manual from 07-18 worked with auto from 07-11 but in 2012 the 5 speed auto changed that.

Well I haven’t gotten any serious interest in it yet and my price is a little negotiable so if you still see it listed when you get some cash free’d up let me know and we can work something out :like:
Straight swap for a 2.71:1 transfer case?

In all seriousness, good luck selling!

@jdubya421 never came back and posted but he did receive the transfer case and it did not fit. Passed it on to another forum member with an automatic transmission and tracked down one for the manual.

:CWL: At first that caught me off guard before I read your next sentence lol. I was like that doesn’t sound like a good deal for me at all hahah but thank you. I may have a local guy that showed interest so I’ll see how that plays out.

do you (or anyone) know if it is a straight swap with a sport T case? or is there additional work/parts involved?

also, how feasible is shipping?

I cannot say for 100% certainty it’s a straight swap because I haven’t done it yet but all the information I’ve gathered as long as it’s an auto trans it should bolt right up. As for shipping I haven’t received a quote yet but I’ve heard the best way to ship larger items like this is through fastenal. I tried calling my local branch for a quote but the only way to get a quote is to fill out a form with the desired location and information of the item and they email back in 1-2 business days.

4:1 Rock-Trac HD transfer case out of a 2018 Jeep Wrangler JLU Rubicon. It was mated to the new automatic transmission so I’m not sure if this will work with the manual transmission. The Jeep it came out of had around 2,300 miles so this is practically brand new in great working condition. I bought it for my project but ended up going with an ATLAS so I do not need this anymore. This would be a perfect upgrade for anyone with a JL sport or Sahara and I think it will also work for the Gladiator sport or overland models as well. Located in Harrisburg PA and I’m asking $1400, PM me if you’re interested or have any questions and I’ll get back to you as soon as I can. Thank you!

Where did you end up purchasing your ATLAS from?

My plan for this 241 was a little different, I originally got this to put in my YJ project but did not realize at the time that the JL transfer case changed from the JK and I had a JK adapter in my transmission. I found the atlas on Facebook market place that was set up for a JK so it would work with my adapted th400. The atlas isn’t going in our JL unfortunately haha
