Hello All:

Brand new to the Jeep community. Just moved to East coast of Florida and have auto-accessible beach near me. Seriously considering a new JL Sport.

Question - how durable is the soft top? The Jeep will live outside so it will be exposed to the Florida sun over its lifetime.

Thanks!

Make sure you get the premium soft top. I lived in Clearwater for over forty years. Had two Jeeps with soft tops. Use this for care on the top. I sprayed on once a month. Both tops stayed the same color as the day I purchased. No fading. Wash normally. I washed at least twice a month, then added the 303 to the top once a month. No worries. No leaks no troubles.

I'm personally wondering how good the standard soft top is. The premium soft top is not available on the Sport, and I don't wanna to move to the Sport S solely for the availability of a top.

I’ve had a premium top in the South since they first came out in 2013.
Jeep always lives outside. I’ve never cleaned it with anything other than water and no fading whatsoever.

I live in Colorado and did 2 years in Breckenridge with a standard softop on an 08 JK. It held up great with cold temps and about a foot or 2 of snow on it a couple times.

I also lived in Colorado Springs and it occasionally gets into the 90s here but I've never had an issue with leaking. It faded a bit but never compromised zippers or anything.

I can't imagine the new tops being worse then the old ones.
