Got 35/12.5/18 CF 3000 Comforser. I really like the look, but seems like the thread is wearing off faster than I would like. They also skid a little in the rain.
My next tires will be a little lighter, 40 pounds for the 5, and I will buy going for the Cooper Discoverer AT3 XLT 305 or 295/70/18. I will be waiting for the Canadian Tire 25% sale.

My Nitto trail grapplers in 37’s (D rated) are great. Heavy with the AEV wheels (41 lbs + 84 for the tire) do mileage isn’t good but it’s a beadlock AND these are great off road. I may eventually buy another set of wheels and tires for DD — if so I’ll run 35” KO2’s. Then just bolt up the others when wheeling ( no need for TPMS ). But honestly I’ll probably just skip the hassle unless these start wearing bad. Only have 4K on them. Rotated 500 miles ago

I switched my stock A/T tires for BFG KO2's, Rubi takeoffs. Absolutely love them, at a little over 10,000 I've put on them.
Now, if and when I do some heavy off roading, I plan on putting some M/T tires on, and use the stock Sport S wheels to mount them on. I will keep them in the garage, and mount them when needed.

I switched out my 33” KO2s after a few thousand miles to 35” Nitto Ridge Grapplers. I live in the SE and most of my off roading is on muddy forest trails.

The KO2s are fantastic on the road and on gravel, but probably the worst mud tire ever manufactured. It’s basically a racing slick.

In my last rig I had the Trail Grappler, General Grabber, KO2 etc. and wasn’t completely happy with any of them. The trail grappler is phenomenal off road but terrible on road...like really terrible. The grabber was ok off-road and also bad on road and I’ve already stated the KO2 is great on road but sucked balls in mud.

I took a chance on the ridge grappler and have been pleased. They are better on road than a dedicated mud tire but better off-road than an AT.

The only thing I regret is not going with 37”. I went 1/2 measure with the 35”. But I’m a full-measure type of guy and regret it. I’m replacing my tires soon and will either stay with the Ridge grapplers or try the Patagonia’s that everyone is pooping their pants about. Either way I’m stuffing some big boys in there. (That’s what she said)

I went from stock Sahara A/T’s to 295/70/17 Yokohama Geolander M/T G003’s and love them.

I'm a fan of the Coopers STT Pro. had them on my JKU as well. 3lbs lighter in the same size KO2. I've not been impressed with the KO2, I did have a couple sets of the KM2 and loved them. The Coopers are quiet, have good tread life, lighter, and good price point. I also looked at the KM3, Milestars, and Ridge Grapplers.
AEV does make an awesome rim, I had the savages and Pintlers on the JKU.

. I assumed that anything larger than 35 would force me into going 13.5 wide, and I was concerned that the extra flotation would negatively impact snow driving. .
You can find 37x11.5.

I don't run muddy trails on purpose, so I tend to stay with an AT or hybrid AT/MT. My truck tires have been everything from Toyo AT, Firestone MT. I finally settled on a hybrid Cooper STMaxx, and have gone thru 2 sets and I'm on my third set, this time in the Cooper made Mickey Thompson Baja ATZ version of the STMaxx. Same tire. They're great on dirt roads, good with light mud, decent on-road, but noisy as they wear. I'm thinking they would be a good Jeep tire for my uses and maybe go to a more conservative tire for the truck.

Any opinions on Duratracs? I rarely see them mentioned here for whatever reason.

I had a set of Duratracs on my 2014 JKU Sahara: excellent in cold weather, snow and ice, but they have a reputation for weak sidewalks, especially for the trail.

I never got a flat, but didn’t care for the “bouncy” feel on the freeway. Swapped them for a set of KO2s; much better IMO.

I tried General Grabber ATX on my Toyota Tacoma. I’d put those tires on par with KO2s in term of ride quality, quiet on road, traction on the trail, and in snow and icy conditions. The Generals usually sell for 10%-20% less than a comparably-sized KO2, so it provides a good alternative.

Duratracs are excellent tires. They are the best tire available for snow/slush that's not a dedicated snow tire. They excel in the rain aswell and are very good in mud or dirt. On the street they ride like an AT tire meaning they ride better than a MT but definitely not like a street tire. As mentioned the drawback to the Duratracs are their weak sidewall.

The stock Duellers were like ice skates for me. I sold them for $300, and installed 33” Toyo Open Country AT 2s. Made a WORLD of difference. I have also taken it off-road into heavy deep mud and sugar sand, and they perform just as good as the mudders I had on my TLC FJ40. I had the same tire on my FJ Cruiser. For me, they have been remarkable and are warranteed to 65,000 miles.

I’ve been looking into the Geolandar. How does it handle the road? and are they loud on the road?

No issues wet or dry and they are the quietest MT I’ve ever had. Even the wife asked why the Jeep was so quiet after I put them on. To some, the lack of noise is a turnoff but I daily mine and use the Bluetooth so the quieter tires were a plus for me. I’ll be curious how they wear but they’re one of the meatier M/T’s out there at 20/32” tread depth.
