You can find 37x11.5.. I assumed that anything larger than 35 would force me into going 13.5 wide, and I was concerned that the extra flotation would negatively impact snow driving. .
Duratracs are excellent tires. They are the best tire available for snow/slush that's not a dedicated snow tire. They excel in the rain aswell and are very good in mud or dirt. On the street they ride like an AT tire meaning they ride better than a MT but definitely not like a street tire. As mentioned the drawback to the Duratracs are their weak sidewall.Any opinions on Duratracs? I rarely see them mentioned here for whatever reason.
I’ve been looking into the Geolandar. How does it handle the road? and are they loud on the road?I went from stock Sahara A/T’s to 295/70/17 Yokohama Geolander M/T G003’s and love them.
No issues wet or dry and they are the quietest MT I’ve ever had. Even the wife asked why the Jeep was so quiet after I put them on. To some, the lack of noise is a turnoff but I daily mine and use the Bluetooth so the quieter tires were a plus for me. I’ll be curious how they wear but they’re one of the meatier M/T’s out there at 20/32” tread depth.I’ve been looking into the Geolandar. How does it handle the road? and are they loud on the road?
