I need some Help, I think something is definitely wrong with the car or th3 way my wife drives it, mostly in the city and we’re averaging 13.8 wtf. Anyone else having the same average in the city. Another thing I notice is that the car as were driving steady the rpm are revved up like around 3500 at a steady speed.

I have a Rubicon and my average is 14.1 (10 miles of city commuting everyday) but I also have a heavy foot. I haven't gone on a 200+ mile road trip in a few weeks so when I go this weekend my average should go back up to 16ish.

JLURubicon and my MPG is about the same...14ish around town...drove 100 highway miles in light traffic and got about 19 MPG. I didn't buy it for the mileage but I did expect to get a little more. I do turn off my ESS at the first stop engine...because I don't like that feature. This is my first new car and my first JEEP and I LOVE IT!

I'm also curious about this since the MPG rating comes from the Sport trim. My guess is that is is possible to get 23 HWY with the manual trans at 65 MPH. I really hope this is the case lol.
you will get worse mpg with a manual. Transmissions are different than they used to be, and driving manual is not going to get you better mileage than the automatic

Figured I'd throw in my experience, as I've been thrilled with the gas mileage. Over the first 5500 miles, I've been getting 23-25ish (If I recall it's around 24.5 lifetime per the trip computer, which has seemed pretty close when I hand calculate). I've got 4 door sport with a manual transmission. Most everything I do is highway (250 mile round trip daily commute), but I also don't drive the the Jeep every day.

Sort of true, but it ultimately depends on the nut behind the steering wheel, gas pedal and stick. A CVT would be even more efficient, but probably at the expense of off-road performance.

I spend most of my commute 50-60MPH (using cruise), 50/50 city and county roads, almost getting 21MPH.

Thanks for sharing! This is why I have waited for the JL and not buying a JK to replace my TJ hopeing I could get over 20 mpg.

Been getting great gas mileage in my JLU sport S. But will also mention that I only use eFree gas. Efree will get you better gas mileage and more power. I've gotten an average of 480mi each on the last 3 tanks.

After a 3200 mile road trip, I ended up with a 22.5mpg average. Was really happy when we had a long day of driving across Canada and finished the day with the daily average closer to 27.

I just did a 900-mile road trip last week in the JLUR, averaging 65-67mph the first leg through some hills and small towns was 20.6mpg. Next tank was mixed city and highway at 19.9mpg. The third tank was all highway, heading into a 10mph headwind and 70-73 mph was 17.6, last 100 miles was 75-78 with the same wind with some hills that caused a quick downshift to 7th gear showed 16.1 on the trip computer. Staying under 70 will definitely keep the mileage up! I actually was impressed with how well it handled the trip, comfortable and amazingly quiet. And the steering seemed to tighten up with miles. Still feels a little loose and wanders but not as bad as it was.

I do a slight bit of city mixed with a 6 miles highway run each way, I only get like 15.5... but I also drive 80mph which has a huge effect. I have played with it on the highway and 60-65 seems to be the sweet spot for MPG. I have a Rubicon all factory as of right now.

I have a 2 door sport with the manual, driving to work town and highway 45 miles one way. I run 60 to 72mph most of the trip when in 6th gear running about 1800 RPM getting around 22 mpg.
