I picked up a JLUR last week. So far I have 250 miles on it. On the highway if I treat it super nice I can get gas mileage around 16 mph. Speeds have been between 45 and 55. In town mileage has been between 11 and 13 mpg if I accelerate like a tortoise.

I am pretty disappointed with the mileage so far. I am really hoping it gets better. My last wrangler (2015 unlimited Willys edition) got around 18 to 20 with mixed city and highway driving.

I will have to see if it gets better after some more miles

Not really driving it hard at all, normal city driving. Just running the kids around town. It's been cold here, 30s-40s, but I always let it warm up at least 10 minutes.

Sahara with 35's n 20" rims
1st tank = 16.4 - reset
2nd tank = 15.7 - reset
3rd tank = 18.4 @ 885 miles so far

All in town - start stop - heavy foot - spring break + season with tons of traffic

60's in the morning and 80"s most days

My 1st tank on my JLUR auto was 18mpg.
It will get better cause that was with a lot of idling since winter still wants to stick around.

About how many gallons of gas are you putting in when your on empty. " I know this will very on many factors" I usually put 12 gallons in my TJ when I'm on E.

First fill up with Sahara, mixed driving (25-30% city), got 19.8 mpg. Enjoyed heavy foot a little. Hopeful!!

Any chance it got fueled with some E85?

Has it been really cold where you are?

What are the tire pressures?

Best mileage is usually brisk acceleration to speed and then holding it there, preferably with cruise control.

I'd run it to near empty and try a new tank of 87 octane from a reputable station. If it's still no better, something's up that the dealer needs to check out.
