So FCA is eliminating diesels from the US? Does this affect the JL?

New report out this morning that Fiat/Chrysler will phase out all diesel cars by 2022. I'm sure 2019 will be around and for the next few years. However it looks like a factory diesel Wrangler could be short lived

Dunno...The USAToday story references a Detroit Free Press (hmmm..) story quoting a Financial Times (an online "news" agency that exists only to generate hits for ad revenue) story that claims an unnamed source close to the situation gave this info anonymously. So, yeah...plus, the report references "cars" which FCA doesn't sell in the US, so it's really a non-story anyway.

Hope it isn't true, but if it is guess I will have to look elsewhere for my next vehicle.

What do you mean you hope it isnā€™t true.. read the story. Itā€™s not even about the USA. They say in the title they will stop selling diesel cars in the USA then state in fact but thereā€™s actually NO diesel cars in the USA for FCA. It literally says this doesnā€™t mean for suvs or trucks and then at the end the spokesman says it has nothing to do with the USA only Europe šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚ this story disregards anyone living in the title and should only be for European readers..
