Smokers: Show off your ash tray

When I was a kid the TV was one tobacco commercial after another, cigarettes, cigars and snuff. Damn near all the actors smoked in the movies. Cigarette machines every where and no age limit on purchase. High Schools had smoking area's, teachers had a smoking room with coffee and a TV. Not surprisingly many people my age have smoked for 50 to 60 years, I've dipped snuff just about as long. Hell my first cigarette was furnished to me by the US ARMY. It was a different world back then, far less angry activism. Look back in history when wood was our only source of energy, houses were full of smoke either from cooking or heating. Having lung issues was pretty common for people of all ages. If I miss the assisted living and nursing home part of my life I'll die a happy man.

Alcohol and it's abuse troubles me far more than a pack of smokes.
