Step 28: (2) M6 (1.0)x20mm counter suck screws.

Mine look different from what you have pictured and these are the only CS screws o have in the packaging and don’t even have washers. How long were your screws?

Also, how far out does your camera sit? Looks like yours sits almost flush with the mount. Mine looks to be inside the mount about 3/4”. Seems like a lot of protrusion on the camera view.

Measured the cone housing on both. There’s a 3/4” difference.

The ones provided seem to fit fine.

On vacation. If I don’t answer completely, I’ll answer when I get back on Saturday.

when I connected the camera housing, I thought we were supposed to use OEM screws. One screw was gone, so I replaced. That is why I have screws that extend. Doesn’t seem to be an issue for me. But I will check for these screws when I get home. Having the halo sit flush would be nice.

These screws should not affect how deep the camera housing protrudes. Just looked at original pics I posted and yours are definitely pushed back further than mine.

I can’t measure my cone housing. Not at home so have no tools to put spare back on.

No worries. It does look like the cone was built out of spec. Placing a call to SB in the morning...again. The screws seem to be the right ones provided after checking figment.

Spoke with SB this morning. They supposedly built it longer to accommodate bigger tires. They said the bracket needs to be bolted down as flush as possible but the camera should sit flush with the mount. I don’t see myself gaining 3/4” but going to give it one more try tonight.

So they purposely made a production run change to make it longer?? Hmmm, I guess they didn't realize that that doesn't make the inner cameral mount any longer.

I'll be installing mine this weekend. Hopefully, I got the less endowed camera cone.

at this point if anyone could measure the SB cone length on the top side, I’d really appreciate it.

Thanks bud. That seals it. This is getting sent back. I have nothing else to add except to avoid this kit and SB. Their customer service has been piss poor. I will follow up with the long version once I’ve cooled down.

Driving mine back right now. I always called smittybilt shittybilt and it holds true. I plugged the camera in, and it looks like a long hallway. What a waste. I am still fired up.
