small tear in hard top gasket

switched out my hardtop for the soft. noticed a small tear in the gasket on the actual hard top. looks like the point of where the freedom panels sit. picture attached

is this something that will spread or get worse? is there a patch or it eventually need to be replaced?

You might be able to use a rubber silicone to patch it and keep it from tearing more...couldn't hurt.

I would carefully apply weatherstrip adhesive to the edges of the tear, don’t get it on the outside.

Should be a quick warranty repair if you are willing to head to your dealer. They should replace the entire seal. If you aren't willing to head to your dealer, the suggestions made by others above should work as a short term fix.

thanks. got call into dealer. going to get them to replace in fall. if not, i’ll load it on trailer and drop it off :)
