Noticed this morning the above red is on steadily. Never noticed it before. It’s not obvious to me what this light is for. Anyone have this issue? How to resolve?

I had this happen on my previous Jeep, 2013 JKUR. It's the security light. I don't know why it would come on and stay on, but it would go out and act normally within a day. It was bothersome, but didn't affect anything but my troubled mind.

Update: On a hunch / whim I pulled fuse 42 and did the Aux battery bypass. Problem solved. Thanks for the help.

Also too if you disconnect your battery for about 2 hours it should reset the security light in such a way that you can start the vehicle with your key fob present.

I know from experience. Damn security light keeps getting me!! :swear:  :captain:

It’s just your Jeep letting you know that your wife stole your car this morning and went to TJ Maxx.

Anyone else ever notice the light being on while driving? I'm thinking my batteries are on their way out again.

For me this was the start of electronic gremlins in my Jeep that ended with the failure of the aux battery. It was cleared up instantly after doing the six battery delete. So that’s the good news..

Odd, just saw this one in my Jeep yesterday. I stopped for gas and when I re-started the Jeep, that light was on and the clock on the radio (5") was reset to 12:00. Reset the clock, shut it off, re-started again and all was well since.

Just for reference, my aux battery has been out of the equation for about 2 years. Main battery has been in as long as I have had the vehicle (if not longer) which would be about 3.5 years, so it would not be surprising if that's on its way out. Also at the time of the above incident, the ambient temperature was in the lower single-digits.

Thanks for the reply, I tested the batteries and the aux was bad so I replaced it yesterday. All appears good now:)

3.5 years is a pretty good run for these batteries … sadly.

Yeah it was the DieHard Aux14 AGM (which I got again) - the factory one crapped out in the first 2 years along with the main (both died at the same time). The Interstate main is still testing good but I'm not to optimistic how much longer we'll get out of it.

Well, the Service Stop/Start light came on this morning, so looks like battery time for me...
