Looking at possibly doing only a 1-1.5" puck lift on my JLU Sahara 6sp, is that small enough not to need any new suspension components and to keep the ride and handling stock in performance...??? I don't want a leveling kit, to me they make it look like it has negative rake, no good. Any info...???

I did the 1.5" TeraFlex spacer lift on my 2 door Sport S. Just installed the spacers and had it aligned. Kept all other suspension components completely stock. It did not have any effect on ride or handling. No steering wander and no wobble. I'm very happy with it.

I’m having a Daystar Comfort Ride spacer lift put on my Sahara as we speak. It adds 3/4” in front; 1/5” in rear.

My guess is Daystar calls it “Comfort Ride” because it eliminates metal-to-metal contact between the springs and the frame, and retains the original suspension parts and geometry.

It’s on sale at Quadratec for $49.

I should be able to report more and post pix over the next few days.

What size tires do you have? What motor?

The Daystar isolators take the place of the already in place rubber spring isolators, they are just larger. No metal to metal contact.

Does any company make pucks of equal lift font and rear at 1" or 1.5"? I don't want to level it, to my eye it tends to look negative rake, especially loaded up ya know?

Call Teraflex and have them make spacer kit for you. I originally did that. They have several puck/spacer heights for the jl that aren’t advertised individual but pulled from their kits. I had them send me a 1”F/.5”R for like $70 bucks.

FWIW, the lifted front is part of “off-road look”.

Tires: BFG KO2's 285/70R17 (tires look bigger on 9" wide rims vs the 7.5" Rubicon wheels)
Wheels: 17 x 9, +1 offset
V6, Auto

So how is the ride? I would really like to get a small lift.

Pretty smooth. But it is a Sahara, so it rode smoothly from the factory.
