I understand that tis isn't a popular choice, but I want to move up to 35's from my 33 KO's, and was all set on KO2's, but when it is wet , raining, my Rubicon slides a lot. I am not driving fast when this happens. I would have to go slower than traffic is flowing to stop it. It's mostly happening in Jersey traffic circles. I am considering a more street friendly tire as I really don't go off road. Snow could be an issue at times. Anyone running a non all terrain on there JL?

Just ask @cosine he knows!
The stock base tires on the Sports are Michelin LTX, they are All Seasons and would be better in rain, but are a very mild tire for anything else TBH. Not sure what sizing Michelin has in 35 though. They also make them in a slightly more aggressive AT too. I think Continental has a newer AS truck tire that gets decent reviews too.

All-season highway tires are not common in 35-inch for 17-inch wheel applications so you may want to look into a hybrid H/T - A/T tire such as the Continental Terrain Contact A/T.

As far as I am aware, large diameter highway tires are typically designed for heavy duty light trucks, so they will typically be load range E, and often for larger wheel diameters.

In the Michelin Defender LTX M/S you have these options:
LT295/70R18 (34.3" OD)
LT35X12.5R20 (34.5" OD)

Discount tire makes a good suggestion of looking for "A/T" tires that are more highway biassed than the BFG KO2.

On my last truck, I had a Yokohama Geolandar A/T G015 that I was happy with. It was well siped for good traction on wet roads.

Both the TerrainContact and G015 is available in a 315/70R17 (34.4" OD). They still carry a high load rating, but Jeep's don't ride that smooth anyway, so maybe it won't bother you.

Can't seem to get the Discount Tire website to respond. Newest vehicle button is 2017 , and none of my clicks do anything. Weird.

Sorry to learn of this, shekmark. Are you still having troubles with the site?

@shekmark, What tire pressure are your running in your KO2's on the street? just curious. Mine are still around 37-38psi, I know a lot of people here have said to run them at 30-35. it may help as it would increase your contact patch.

My '97 Ram has KO2s, while my 06 Ram has Cooper Discoverer HT Plus all-weather tires. The BFGs are far better in the wet and in the snow. My Wrangler has the Bridgestone ATs...they're ok in rain. Havent had them in snow yet.
