Just went to test drive a new 2025 Willys Xtreme35 and noticed a very slight vibration/wobble in the steering wheel at about 70 mph. It wasn’t anything crazy, and don’t think it was enough to be considered “death wobble”, but just wanted to make sure it was normal for a Jeep on 35s from factory. I do plan to buy this Jeep and want to make sure this is completely normal. I didn’t really mind it much, and it was fine at around 65 mph. Other than that it drove great.

‘25 Willys XR here I have no wobbles at any speed. Are you new to Jeeps? I only ask because they do ride and handle different than a uni-body 4 wheel independent sprung SUV.

This will be my first jeep, but I took out a normal Willys on 33 falken wildpeak M/Ts and it drove great. I would like to get the Willys XR but this one felt a bit off. Any idea what could be wrong?

Without driving it in person no. The wider tires on the XR can tend to wander with road crown but that shouldn’t feel like a wobble 🤷🏻‍♂️

Yikes! Was the salesperson riding? Any comment from them?
I get no wobbles from my unlifted JL, just from some of the $#!**& roads I drive

There's a stretch of highway I take and I get a minor wobble, it's just shitty road construction. Highly doubtful a new jeep has a true wobble. I would try on a different area/road, or take out a did model and see if you can reproduce.

Maybe the tires are out of balance? Maybe it sat for a while and there’s flat spots on the tires? Either one would cause some vibration feel. Not so much of a wobble though.

The dealer did have it parked off camber on a curb for idk how long. Not sure if this would play a part in that.

Mine will sometimes sit all weekend. On Monday I’ll have some vibration for the first few miles or so on the highway.

It's most likely just an out of balance tire.

It should be simple for them to fix, but make sure it's fixed and verified before signing on the dotted line.

And look at the spreadsheet in my sig to make sure you're getting a decent deal.

Slight wobbles are not normal, even for a Jeep.
