Went to Colorado from Ckeveland last week. Slept just fine laid out in the back. Laid out my inflatable mat after not doing so on my first night though haha.

@banessi do you plan to stuff packed gear or something to fit between the back of the front seat to the front of the folded down back seat? Attached in case my explanation is terrible..

Yeah. I actually used to take extra pillows to the drop zone and just put them in that well in my last car. With a mat on that worked great. I may take the cut away remnants and see if I can turn that into something.

Pretty cool until you try taking a bath in that sink! heh Been looking for one of those and how do you like it so far?
It has an outdoor shower setup that works really good. It has a water heater, tank and transfer pump. The camo tent in the pic is the shower.
I really like it. It ain't easy but it makes me feel rugged. The "TV" is a mini projector that hooks up to my phone to stream.

After building my sleeping platform (8") high, I was able to store all my recovery equip. underneath--

Spent many summer/falls in the SIERRAS/w that and my trailer-

Did your sleeping platform sit on top of the seats folded down or did you take the seats out?

I had removed the HEADRESTS first and the sleeping platform was used both ways--with rear seats down and also without rear seats-

Not much difference though-I'd include pics, but I'm in Las Vegas for a while and my laptop doesn't contain my home PC major pic library--

Did your sleeping platform sit on top of the seats folded down or did you take the seats out?

Just thinking out loud, is there a place on the A pillar to hook a hammock? I was thinking maybe diagonal corner to corner? I use my Hennessey Hammock for all my "tent camping" needs and I suspect it could be used on the inside of the jeep if the front seats were folded forward.

I'm going to have to confiscate that CAR plate... NC doesn't have one like that.

I have achieved success. Here was phase two with the mattress before and after cutting.

And finally fitting and minor trimming with replacement of cover and adding a sheet. Fits great and is very comfortable. I can push the seats all the way back and it just bows up for driving. So, make the bed before leaving. Get there. Slide the seats forward. Drink beer. Go to bed. Very happy how this turned out.
