odd title i know. when i have the 4xe in esave and idling with max ax for a few minutes i get a sort of slapping noise. almost like something like a sticker is stuck on one of the belts. never had this in my 2019 2.0 turbo. looked in and couldn’t see anything stuck on the belts. video attached.

anyone have this on theirs?

Ohhh....I was going to say if I'm idle too long my wife causes the slapping sounds I hear; in that case I was going to suggest you remain far out of sight when idle, especially on weekends.

For the 4xe slapping/tapping, it sounds like a fastener isn't tight; it could be a random frequency tap from a lightweight part bouncing against something hard. Is it only when the engine runs? Try doing a start and set it in electric mode so the ICE doesn't start and see if the tapping is still present.

so it does it when it’s a cold start in esave. last five minutes then goes away. i thought about some sort of piece vibrating against something else but once it all gets warm it goes away. obviously not a big issue but will get them to look when i do oil
