I have a 2020 JLU with the Sky Onetouch. I've never had the quarter windows out before, and they were making a little noise so I decided to take them out and re-seat them. I unfastened the top latches, but when I attempted to push them out, there were two hex-head screws through the base of the window that look like they need to be removed? I checked the manual, and there's no mention of this.

Is this a new approach to eliminating the rattles people have been experiencing?

Nope they are rubber covered pins.
Takes a bit of effort to remove the first time.
Pop the top with the heal of your hand, push top out an inch or two then lift straight up.

Try not to be a dick- of course I read the manual- there are images but none that have hex head screws on them therefore I thought it might be a running change to the design to eliminate the rattles everyone seems to be complaining about.

You gotta open the rear door too, there's a piece of trim that is held in by the door.
