Post updated:

Above the sound bar there is a 2 inch wide plastic strip that runs from one side to the other that rattles horribly when the top is back.

It does not lay flat and appears to have a thin piece of weatherstrip in small areas on the underside. What is the purpose of this piece other than to rattle in the wind?

Looks like you need some silicone under there and a clamp to hold it until the silicone sets.

Mine appears to be lower than yours perhaps that is why you are getting the wind noise. Haven't hadn't rattle yet, appears that might be coming.

Thanks for the pictures and apparently mine was not sealed down. Mine has at least a 1/2” to 3/4” gap in the middle.

I checked mine today after seeing your post. The center is like the glue has come loose but I'm not hearing any rattles or wind howl when I drove topless (most of the time). But I will have them look at it when I go on for it's first oil change. Thanks for the heads-up!

The dealer is ordering a new piece and it sounds like they will have to remove the entire top in order to replace this. Not a happy camper with this scenario seeing it's only 2 months old.

We checked a couple others on their lot and yes it should lay flat although it's not actually sealed down. It should have enough pressure in the bend to remain laying flat which mine obviously does not.

In order to repair this my dealer believes they will need to replace the entire Sky One Touch top. I’m not happy with this outcome on a brand new $50K vehicle.

Makes me want to do a temp fix and wait until the factory warranty is running out , and then get this done with some kind of 12mo/15k mile guarantee on it.

What did they end up doing? I have a similar issue and have an appointment in a couple weeks.
