Has anyone picked up a skid plate for the 3.6l with eTorque and the large battery below? I know metalcloak makes one, not sure on the weight of theirs. I would prefer to find one that swaps out the gas tank skid instead of going over the top of it. Sounds like that reduces the weight quite a bit. Rusty's replaces the gas tank skid, but they do not offer one for the eTorque yet...

I know the aluminum vs steel has been discussed many times. I had aluminum before and I got deep gouges on it vs the steel plates that I had run in the past.

I asked Rusty a similar question about a skid that did not show up on their site. He said they have it.
Might be worth calling them directly if you are ready to order.

Check out Next Venture Motorsports, their aluminum skid removes the stock gas tank skid, is 85 lbs and you gain 3/4 inch ground clearance from removal of stock tank skid. 4 door only.
