I just got off the phone with my friends at Sirius XM. I'm sure we all play this game, where the promo rate ends and we call to cancel and get a better deal after noticing the upcharge on the credit card statement. So what are the best prices you've been able to get on which package before and after fees/taxes?

I got the "XM Music & Entertainment Package" for $5.99 which is $8.23 after fees and taxes. I didn't play "hard to get" but the savings were pretty significant.

I am paying $15.77. I have been thinking of canceling myself.

About 5 years ago they sent me an offer at 36 months for $99. I think the total was about $130 after taxes and fees. I signed up, and after the 3 years was up they offered it again. Iā€™m good until May of 2024. Iā€™ll keep subscribing at that rate, otherwise Iā€™ll cancel.

If you don't want to call, you can go out their website and there is a chat now option that pops up. I find this makes the "song and dance" go quicker to get to the cheapest rate.

Just ask @cosine he knows!
We have 2 vehicles w/ XM got 1 w/ the full pkg (all the live sports and channels) and the other in the Jeep w/ the next pkg down from that, for some reason they're both the same price at $75 per year. IIRC w/ fees and bs it comes out to like $90 per yr per vehicle but it's locked in for the next renew. I hate calling up and having to negotiate so at least I don't have to do that next time I can hope lol.

Wow, that's the lowest I've ever seen for 3yrs, like $2.50/mo, hell yeah I'd keep subscribing at that rate.

Looks like I may need to let it cancel and wait for the mailers to arrive with the best deals. I'll certainly remember this next time my promotion ends. 130 out the door for 3 years is a great deal because I do like SXM service, just not their pricing games.

Wow, a lot of people are getting better deals than me. Maybe I need to play "hard to get". :)

I bought last year for $78 for 1 year. It was $5 /month plus taxes and whatnot. I signed up only if they would select non auto renew. They called this year and I said it was the highest Iā€™d pay, they started to ā€˜tell me the benefitsā€™ of a higher price I promptly said, ā€œnot interested, call me back only if you can match the deal, otherwise cancel meā€

my service will cancel any day now and when they call back, thatā€™s still the highest Iā€™ll go. I would love for 130 for 3 years, Iā€™d do that all day

I have a friend who bought a lifetime package for $499 back in the day when they pretty much came out. I wish I jumped onboard that offer.
I bought an XM lifetime subscription many years ago, before the Sirius XM merge. It was $290. It wasn't really lifetime, you could only change radio id 3 times at $75 per change. Then the class action lawsuit was settled. No limit on radio changes and the fee was reduced to $35. If I keep the 392 through my extended warranty it will cost me less than $5/year.
