Just bought a base JL. Please simply answer if I can take the five rubicon tires and wheels and put them on a base JL Sport. I am not an an expert in tires and do not understand a lot of the technical details. Thank you for your help.

JL Rubicon takeoffs are 33 (32.7) inch-tall LT285/70R17 BFGoodrich All-Terrain KO tires. The base JL Sport has 32 (31.5) inch 245/70R17s ... both on 17x7.5 wheels.
The weight difference won't be that bad and the less than two inches of tire diameter won't be significant unless you are going to be doing some major flexing/off-roading (in which case you might think about higher fenders or a lift).
The tire carrier won't need any modifications either.

*There are even folks who have put 37" tires on the Sport (not recommended).
