Hey everyone. New member. Soon to be first time Wrangler owner and I need some advice. I’m gonna be getting a Rubicon Unlimited and I wanna put 35’s on it. I really like the look of 35’s on 15 inch wheels. My question is how is that combo as a daily driver? I’ve heard that the more sidewall you have the more unstable it is in turns? What are your thoughts? I’m planning on getting General Grabber x3s.

I'm not sure, but I don't think 15s will fit due to the brakes being to large.

There was a thread in here a while back where a guy barely fit 16s. I looked for it but can't find it.

I’d be fine with 16s but man is it hard to find tires in the desired width and radius that I want for 16 inch wheels. That are within a price point I’d be happy with. (But again, I’m new. Probably haven’t looked in the right place yet.)

Is there a lot of sway with more sidewall in daily driving?

I have E-Rated 37's and notice less "sway" than I did with the factory Rubicon tires even at the 27psi I run my 37's. I'm sure that has to do with the sidewalls being much stiffer than the C-Rated 33's.

I want 37’s so bad! But I’m new to all this and I don’t want to pull the trigger on that since I don’t know yet how much and how crazy I’m gonna be doing off-roading.

I finally pulled the trigger on 37's. They look at home on the JL. If I have to re-gear the dam thing to get it right that's what will happen. Now if I could find some wheels I liked with a decent offset!

So you have them on the factory wheels? What aren’t you liking about the offset?

No there going on aftermarket wheels as soon as I find some I like. Most the wheels are set up for the JK. So the standard -12 offset has them poked out a bit more than I'd like them

Not your style but I’m looking for my tires to stick out maybe a half inch to 3/4 inch so that offset might work for me. Gotta remember that number. Lol

That's what I'm after as well. A -12 on a 9" wheel is going to poke out somewhere in the 2 1/2 range
