Side view mirrors for doors off driving suggestions?

I bought these for mine. They do shake, rattle & roll (vibrate), but they serve the purpose & you can see what’s behind you. Something was better than nothing.

I went the other way. Said f#@! It and paid way too much for some cmm mirrors. Considering how much I’ll have the doors off i figured it was worth a couple hundred more to get something really good.

Understandable. Unfortunately for me, everyday they call for afternoon thunderstorms so I rarely have my doors off *tear*. I don’t mind investing money in my Jeep, but for something I’m rarely gonna use, for now, this was a quick fix.

I preordered the round ones from Quadratec, today. Canceled my “Lange Originals Coyote” order, as the expected ship date wasn’t until mid-August. The Rugged Ridge are suppose to ship 7/10.

The RuggedRidge.com website said they could be ordered from Amazon, but I searched and couldn't find it. Even the link from the RuggedRidge.com website to the Amazon site produced a "not found" error.

I ordered the rugged ridge ones as well off quadratec. Can’t wait to actually get them. Trying to drive with doors off in the city can be a bit of a pain sometimes. I tried buying a cheap motorcycle mirror to have one until they come in but it doesn’t fit properly in the hinge and actually started wearing through the edge of the bushing in the hinge.

I clicked the link for the install instructions. It looks like they are replacement mirrors. The instructions seem to show them being mounted back on the door. Are you using them on tube doors or something else? Thanks.

Was told it’s not the updated pdf. If you go on mopar site and search the part number you can see it says for doors off operation and that the mirrors are body mounted.

That's the kicker right there. HOW do you install them? None of the pics on the Mopar site show them as doors-off mirrors; only as replacement mirrors. If there's an updated pdf that shows the doors-off install process, I wonder why they don't post it? I'll echo McBeevee's request and please post some pics when you get them installed.
