Side view mirrors for doors off driving suggestions?

@UNC Rubicon Yes, mine came that way. I was a little put off at first but once installed and after running them, I feel they were worth every penny.

Just got mine today and they showed up the exact same way from Quadratec!! I asked them about it and they said they would never ship out something in that type of packaging!! I'll install tomorrow to make sure everything is in there and nothing is damaged. Not sure why they are shipping out this way besides that they are return items (and the only reason there was stock to ship out)? Makes me wonder what else quadratec is shipping out after they use it for awhile? Or is Lange shipping them out like this?

Quadratec finally shipped my Lange Coyote mirrors and I received them today. Everything was packaged loosely and the top of the mirror packaging was cut off. Looks like a generic mirror with Lange attachments. Anyone else receive their Coyote mirrors in a similar fashion?

That's good to know, and to see the background to why they did it. I think they still could have packaged in the box with more padding. But after waiting nearly four months for these, I'm glad to finally have them.

Has everyone still been using door hinge drop in mirrors, or has anything else come out?

What's the vibration/wobblying/etc like with the door hinge options?

I've used the door hinge ones and they kind of suck. If you tighten them down enough so they don't move at highway speeds, you warp the plastic spacers.

Just installed Lange Originals yesterday and so far they are rock solid with no noticeable vibration.

Carolina Metal Masters. Rock Solid ! Easy on and off when I take the doors on and off. And they make for a good Go Pro mount or cell phone mount in the jeep. I think they look cool also! But they are $$$

I used them all summer! Zero problems. Hard top on for the Winter so there put away for now . Good Luck

Saw a post today where a guy used a set of elcheapo side mirrors ($8.00 each) that installed via the cowl bolt(s) that I have mentioned in past posts in regard to using Harley mirrors...

Anyway, here is a very inexpensive way to go and the install of the mirrors is very easy...

I can't vouch how the mirrors fair at 60 mph but.... 8-) Having side mirrros installed make you legal in many states. so these would do the trick at least in regard to that legality.
