What kind of bike rack are you running and do you like it?

I just picked up this 1up for the jl and it is beef. I also like that it keeps the bike high and tight. Simple & fast to operate and Made in USA.

Nice rack.... real nice looking JL ! Nice choice of wheels!!

Do consider painting the muffler.... would look way way way better painted... would not stand out like a sore thumb so to speak behind that real nice bumper..

I'd like to see a close up of your rack, in the region right where it plugs into the JL's 2". Is there a joint there that allows the whole rack to drop downward?

Yes it can rachtet to a few angles for travel or all the way down to access the tailgate (not for travel). When i had my 37 inch spare on i had to use their hitch extender, also good quality with anti ratlle connections just like the rack.
These are not cheap, but buy once, cry once is my logic.

YES, better to, from the get go..... to buy a goodie that is top notch and that will do what you need it to do for years and years... And stuff that will handle the elements over the years.

Personally, I would keep it off the JL, if you don't plan on using it say for a few days.... Wipe it down well after you remove it / before storage.. Lube as needed, etc..

Looking at the rear of the rack, it looks like you could easily add/adapt a small LED brake light to it... not sure if you have trailer wiring on your JL .... A marker light / brake light back there may save your bikes/rack from getting tagged by some dipshit...

Sure. You can get them for single bikes or multiple bikes. Best part you can add on to the super single, so if your bike needs grow you have to rebuy from scratch. I went for the SS for this reason.

There was a small waitlist when I ordered, which says a lot about the desire for these. It took about 3 weeks to enter order and 1.5 week to arrive. Worth it.

1UP makes the best bike rack around if you ask me. Tray style racks are so much easier to use than hanging style.

I had a five bike model 15+ years ago. Rock solid even with all that weight. I sold it about five years ago.

I think its some Walmart brand my wife bought. I'll have to dig it out of the shed and see if its got a specific brand.
