I have had a bunch of bikes in the last 10 years. Here's whats left. As far as the 2 dirt bikes, I had sold my carb'ed WR450. I went to the dealer on Black Friday to buy a new, year old WR with FI. (they had just bought a buck of bikes from a dealer that went out of business. I was joking with the sales guy. I said "go tell the sales manager I will buy a WR & YZ for $X..." it was less than the MSRP on the WR by a few thousand. He said "No way". I finally talked him into it. He came back and said "you're not going to believe this but he said yes as long as you do it right now, if you walk out the door for any reason the deal is off" ha, I had to buy the double rack too because I didn't drive my truck.. I just got the Harley a few months ago.. 3rd ones the charm. Love this bike

Damn. That's a lot of toungue weight.
Hitch is only rated at 300 lbs toungue weight.
Not to mention the extension to clear the tire.

I was going to go this route untill I saw the toungue weight, seeing yours I might go ahead and get it now. I have only one bike to haul.

Royal Enfield Classic 500, I'm one of those enthusiasts that love the authentic history. First produced in 1901, still in production.

That is not a stock receiver. i wouldn't have done it on a stock receiver. I know I did some research while I was waiting at the dealer. I can't remember what it was rated for but I wouldn't have done it if it couldn't do it. My son totaled that jeep a few weeks ago so I can't go look at it. I just checked, it is a class 3 receiver with a 600lb rating. .... Bikes 507lbs Rack probably 80-90 lbs.... And there is no extension

Nice XT600!! 1989?
I had a 1996 XT350.
Yes! It’s an 1989, good spot. Just finishing the restore. I just found a mint left side air scoop and searching for the right side, after that she’s done!

Had this XT350 but sold it a couple years ago!

Sorry to hear that Jeep was totaled, hope your son is ok...
Did you have air suspension, or something to keep that from squatting ? That's a lot of Tail to wag the dog...

Stock or aftermarket, the hitch is the same. Jeep uses the exact same receiver but classifies it as a class II because of the way it mounts. The so-called cross frame is not up to the task of holding that much weight. Otherwise the towing rating would be higher. It all has to do with there is no reinforcement to prevent downward twisting.
