I’ve wanted to do that drive for a long time. Did you go all the way to the fire lookout? How was it? Thinking of doing that ride this weekend with some friends.

Yes, my husband and I went all the way up. The drive was easy for my stock Rubicon and me with almost zero off-roading experience. The hike was somewhat hard for me due to elevation and high midday temperature, but doable. My husband says "moderate", but he's in a better shape. Bring plenty of water and go in the morning before it's too hot.

My favorite view is near the parking though, not from the fire lookout:
