Ocean blue with a mojito dash... Interesting. You should take a wider pic for the color contrast to show up better

I did the speaker bezels too a few weeks ago
How hard was it to do the speaker bezels? Anything I should know, getting ready to do the dash and I’d like to do them too. Thanks!

Funny you asked that --as originally I told my daughter no way in heck can it be done easily.

Turns out - 4 screws and the covers pop right off. I took my time to tape off the lines, and covered the back side due to overspray potential.

I did 3 steps for all my plastic painting.

1 - Clean using a good cleaner
2 - scotchbright to rough up paintable surface
3 - precoated with a paint adhesion promoter.

I then used 3 coats of paint and put it back up. It was so simple to do all the dash trim, I will be doing it on my Rubicon soon. Right now I have those cheap stick-on plastic red accents. I liked them until I painted my daughters jeep. Now they look cheap to me.

Why the adhesion promoter for scuffed up plastic? (I’m hoping to paint my dash panels this weekend with Spray Max 1K and 2 K this weekend.)

It is the only way to guarantee the paint will stick and not have a flaking problem down the road.
Here is a demonstration:

Thanks. I see SprayMax has plastic adhesion promoter, so will apply that prior to base coat.

Anybody done their panels in a wrap? At least the passenger side. Not much of an airbrush artist like urr2slo but I was thinking of designing something. Blank canvas indeed.
DO NOT PUT A WRAP ON THE INSTRUMENT PANELS-PAINT ONLY. The passenger side contains the airbag, and a wrap would seriously affect how it breaks open at deployment....like maybe not at all.
