I got new light pods and trying to figure out where the best location for them will be. Stock steel bumper.
I noticed that one of the spots to put the pods, gets in the way of a strap going on the tow hooks, the pods and mount are a bit on the big side.

Currently have a light bar, but will be removing that and maybe putting it on my rack.

here is how I have mine setup they are diode dynamics ss3 pro both sets, the white are mounted to Maximus dual light bracket and the yellow are just mounted using a stock bolt in the bumper with there normal bracket.
Only down side is on the passenger side it interferes if I want to install a flag in the bumper.

I imagine mud and rocks bring throw at the pods on the sides of the bumper, any issues? Looks cool though.

I kind of wanted to mount my pods on the side of my lightbar, but think it would look too messy.
Thought about pillar mount, but been in a jeep with a pillar mount and there was so much glare, and these are very bright pods.

What about reverse mounted, so that you have good "camp" or reverse lights?

Also have magnetic usb light strips that are pretty bright.

Here is a pic after we went off roading and hit a few mud holes hard enough most the interior was covered too lol

they sit more on the inside of the tire but I never really noticed and issues with it.
That being said I was only able to drive it a few weeks with them on before it was hit and been in the body shop since.

Just got these sexy bad boys put on, pair of LP4s, mounted them to the winch filler plate on the steel bumper.

I went with a pair of pods push to the outside of my stubby bumper and a smaller 10" double lightbar in the center - all from Black Oak. Happy with the light output so far; taking the Jeep for a long weekend down to Arkansas and will get to use them more since the sun sets so early this time of the year. I also purchased some amber covers from BO for all 3 lights.

I really like that look, I think that's probably the better spot to mount mine.

I like that back hole closest to your head light it will keep your pod lights out of your grille since your diesel runs hot. Just carry a soft shackle to thread between your light and around the hook.
