Ha! I have better updates than my dealer, so I just told him what the delivery ETA is.Got a text from my dealer today that Jeep is on the way and should be here sometime next week![]()
‍A friend of mine ordered 8/9 and it showed up at the dealer yesterday. So 3 weeks. Rubicon, hard top, LED, steel bumpers. We live withing trucking distance, so that cuts down a ton of time once KZ and released from the factory.
If you drive at night, you should care for the factory LEDs unless you go aftermarket. It is a night and day difference in those lights.‍... I’m in NY so not that far from Ohio ... yes the steel bumper n LEDs did come available few days after I placed my order n they asked me if they should add it. I said no ‍
. I really don’t care for the LEDs but it’s packaged with the steel bumpers ... which I did want. I’ll just add an aftermarket one eventually.
damnnnnn. Where r u located? Next to the Toledo plant!!! Lol. I’ve been on the clock for 21 days now. . N I’m in NY. Dealer told me 4-6 weeks. N i said honest or I’ll call every day after 4th week lol. They said the very worse 8-12 lol.JL Rubicon, 4dr, 2.0l, loaded, LED lighting group and steel bumper group were restricted, dealer said 6-8 weeks because of the restrictions.
Ordered- 8/13
Delivered- 8/31
18 days
Blown away by how fast it got built. There has only been one other 2.0l at my dealership and the guy ordered it in February and took delivery of it in early August. I feel guilty for how fast my delivery was.

I ordered a dual top painted white and the safety group, which you did not order. two same day orders, same day D1 statuses, mine is still D1 and your’s is KZ. Must be something with the safety group that is not in stock, or that is being reengineered has caused my build to be held in the cue. I am sure they carefully calculate how to avoid getting builds stuck in storage awaiting parts or awaiting engineering changes.JLUR Sting-Gray, 3.6L auto, cold weather, LED, steel bumper, black top, body color fenders, tow group, infotainment group, TRMS, Mopar headline/all-weather floor mats
Akbill, it doesn’t necessarily mean anything is backlogged. It could just be the luck of the timing. For efficiency reasons, they bucket production with like cars, with minimal variance in options. So if you ordered a white Sahara and a buddy orders a blue Rubicon on the same day, and they happen to have a batch of blue Rubicon’s scheduled for production on Thursday but Sahara’s aren’t being built until next week, his will get built first. Doesn’t necessarily mean parts are back ordered, just a coincidence of timing.I ordered a dual top painted white and the safety group, which you did not order. two same day orders, same day D1 statuses, mine is still D1 and your’s is KZ. Will they build it faster if you keep asking the status via Jeep Chat? Joking aside this is good info. I wonder if they build certain trims on the week days and certain trims on the weekends.Akbill, it doesn’t necessarily mean anything is backlogged. It could just be the luck of the timing. So I wouldn’t fret. Your Jeep will be built soon.

Hahaha, yes this works just like the elevators that definitely come faster if you repeatedly push the button. Everyone knows that! So I recommend contacting Jeep Chat at least 10x per day! My birthday is Sept 16, so I’m right there with you in hoping (likely in vain) that my Jeep will arrive before then. But here’s the silver lining, chances are the 2019 Wrangler will be announced by then. And my prediction is that there will be almost no changes (as 2018 was all new and engineers have been busy prepping the sky top, Diesel engine, and pickup version), but prices will go up 2-3%. So your Jeep will be $1k cheaper than it would’ve been if you waited! Will they build it faster if you keep asking the status via Jeep Chat? Joking aside this is good info. I originally was going to put an order in on 8/6 but I ended up calling my dealer and change from 2 door to 4 door. He then suggested he try and locate one because of the LED delay. He ended up taking his sweet time and I ended up placing an oder at a different dealer many weeks later. Looks like if I had gotten my oder out that week I would be getting my jeep next week...oh well. Curious to see how long it takes for my order to be built. My birthday is Sept 22 so I would be super happy if I had it on my bday.![]()
