Small update on spring numbers... There are 47 different front springs listed for a 3.6 JLUR on allmoparparts.com, all starting with 682, 683, 684, or 685. This doesn't include the AB/AC/AD/AE revisions... If you take those into account there have been at least 141 different front springs made for the JL.
For the rear suspension, 49 different springs are listed, again all starting with 682, 683, 684, or 685. With AB/AC revisions this would mean 53 total.

Yup... just figured that out also. Looks like this is the entire list for all JLs.
I just happen to have a list of 392 coil part numbers for my own research and noticed them in the list. I bet the Mopar lift springs are in there too. Just have not checked for those yet.

Hi,

The 2 letters indicate a change to that part number, which could be as simple as coating, supplier, color number of coils, diameter of stock, event type of steel.

If the part number is the same it would imply you should be able to swap them out for a newer revision, AA would be the first design, if you ordered a replacement you might get AE, ans should work for that application.

Regards,
Jim

New way of looking at the spring numbers. There's clearly some blocks of numbers that I'm betting are always grouped together in OEM combinations (they probably reserve these numbers when design changes are made). This data can be accessed in a new tab here.

Also, not all springs are available on their own, I have looked for the Diesel Mopar lift springs and those dont come up anywhere that I can find.

There are also 9 front and 5 rear Mopar lift springs that will fit the JL.

This brings the grand total to 127 front springs 54 rear springs.

Would you mind measuring your eye-to-eye shock lengths with the Jeep at ride height?

Just ask @cosine he knows!
Nice work Andy, a shame FCA didn't keep the spring nomenclature simple. It seemed to make sense for the first couple years, then entire new number blocks showed up. The shock part#s seem about as messed up as the springs :(
