Yes they will rub slightly at full lock..you can adjust out the turn stops, but not sure if it will be enough….. some use wheel spacers.. For a 37 tire you need 4.5” back space or less.@Tyler225 did you run the RK adventure lift with your stock XR wheels and tires? If so did you get any rubbing with the control arms provided with the kit?
I currently have 37x12.5 KM3's on stock wheels and 1.75" spacers - not close to rubbing, but on BF I ordered beadlocks, NITTO TRAIL GRAPPLER M/T 38X13.50R17LT, & ARTEC INDUSTRIES FRONT INNER FENDERS@Tyler225 did you run the RK adventure lift with your stock XR wheels and tires? Just curious - So the 3.5-4” shocks pushing it to keep the 2.5” springs seated? I know your running 4.5-6” shocks with 3.5” springs and they stay in place.
They would stay seated….. but considering what the OP said is use was, there’s no need for the extra droop and less uptravel. Had he said he is more 50/50 on/off road, I would recommend the 3.5-4s ……Just curious - So the 3.5-4” shocks pushing it to keep the 2.5” springs seated? Good point. Although less uptravel in front shouldn’t be an issue with those wonderful long bump towersThey would stay seated….. but considering what the OP said is use was, there’s no need for the extra droop and less uptravel. 28.4 extended, 17.8 compressed……for 3.5-4s and 26.25 ext, 16.75 comp. for the 2-3s …….Good point. Although less uptravel in front shouldn’t be an issue with those wonderful long bump towers
Can’t remember specs on 3.5-4s but front driveshaft may become concern as well I guess.
I actually just installed some Rancho 9000XLs about a month ago. The problem I was trying to solve/minimize was having the front end bottom out on the ridiculously long jounce tubes that come on these XRs. While the new shocks did help and definitely are an improvement over the stock shocks, the problem is still happening. As far as running the Ranchos with the Rock Crawler lift... The Rancho shocks don't have near the travel that RK recommends. Hence the reason for the post.I had a 2.5 inch RK lift on my JK. I first used Bilstein 5100 shocks, then later put on Rancho
RS9000XL adjustable shocks after that. Both were good for my uses, with the Rancho's being a little better. Both should be around 400 bones, maybe a little more for the Rancho's.
Keep in mind that RKs recommendation is to maximize full use of the springs when articulating off-road. It has no bearing on the highway. If you’re 80/20 on/off road and are just doing moderate trails, you can run any length shocks you want as long as they don’t bottom out, or over extend….I actually just installed some Rancho 9000XLs about a month ago. Understood. The Rancho shocks I have would limit travel in both directions:Keep in mind that RKs recommendation is to maximize full use of the springs when articulating off-road.
