Story time! Alright so I had America’s Most Wanted 4x4 install a 392 HEMI in my Jeep. I drove it back from Holly Michigan to Dallas Texas (around 1200 miles) with no problems. I installed the Rebel recon coil over kit because I knew I needed a different suspension due to the extra weight of the HEMI.
I did a 5 tire rotation after the install and was driving home I got this “service tire pressure system” light on my dash. It said that the passenger front tire wasn’t reading and got - -(dashes) but the other 3 tires were reading just fine so I figured the TPM just gave out. Well I decided to put the spare tire on and see if it would fix it and if it did then just replace the TPMS. Well it didn’t fix it right away after a key cycle the front passenger tire is reading (yay) but it now says my drivers rear tire isn’t reading (boo)!
Anyone have any experience with the tpm system on these JL’s? I’m guessing it has a single antenna that reads all the tires. I’m running method 312 wheels, Nitto ridge grapplers 37’s, and some wheel spacers.
