I tried to get the same update and they told me my VIN was not in that range

Hi Space ace and WranglerMan,

If your VIN is not included in the RRT portion of this TSB but your vehicle fits into the remaining parameters and exhibits the symptoms listed, your dealer should still be able to perform the TSB. If either of you need assistance working with your dealer on this, please PM us!

The dealer service ppl I have dealt with are less than acceptable, I even showed them the TSB and how loud the fan is and they still did not apply it, I walked in there with 3-4 printed out TSB’s that I felt applied and they had my Jeep for two days and only changed the oil and put in a new battery.

Rant over ....

I have done that in the past with issues and was assigned a case worker or case manager and with there workload they never got intouch with the dealer before I picked up the vehicle and unlike a lot I need my Jeep as it’s a daily driver and they did not have a loaner available and I have to work so I cannot just leave it sit there

My 2 dr JL with 3.6 L was built on 5/5/18.

The Service Department, I deal with, did the necessary pcm reprogramming recommended by this TSB.

I brought a copy of this TSB with me to the Service Department... I complained of the loud fan noise when the AC was on Max and also the irregular idle.

The General Manager and the Techs there all were well aware of the issue with JL's "roaring" as they they shook their heads and called it that.
GM said the noise "scared him" the first time he experienced it the first J to hit their lot.

They all had their doubts that doing as the TSB recommended would cure the issue.

I told them other's on the JL forum found this pcm flash fixed the issues and I was adamant about them doing it.

I think the Service Manager had the flash done to appease me ... to shut me up.. as he really believed it would accomplish nothing.

The GM, a guy in my corner so to speak, encouraged the Service Manager to have do it.

Log story short, the flash fixed the issue and the staff at the dealership now take the knowledge that I share with them, that I glean, here on the forum, very seriously. They kid and tell me I / We, know more about the JL then they know at this point in time.
