A lot of diesels came with aluminum knuckles. At least in the JL. I'm not sure about JTs.I'm pretty sure all diesels came with the rubicon width housings and steel knuckles so unless you're getting rubicon axles free you'd be better off regearing and adding lockers if you want them. A regear with electric lockers front and rear will likely run you between $4-5k, which is likely what you'd pay just to buy rubicon axles. No experience with SoCal shops.
Of course the op asked about rubicon axles, which the non xrs also come with aluminum knuckles so they wouldn't be an upgrade over what he's got anyway.A lot of diesels came with aluminum knuckles. At least in the JL. I'm not sure about JTs.
Going back to your first post, I believe non-rubicon diesels got narrow axles, even though they were M210/M220.Of course the op asked about rubicon axles, which the non xrs also come with aluminum knuckles so they wouldn't be an upgrade over what he's got anyway.
Still doesn't seem worth it, especially asking about prices for the axle swap at a shop. If you scored cheap rubi axles and did the swap yourself you could end up pretty close to the price of a regear. Buying and paying for labor seems ineffective.Going back to your first post, I believe non-rubicon diesels got narrow axles, even though they were M210/M220.
So, he may get some width. And maybe 4.10s if they're not from a diesel or 392. That's about it.
Well, he would also be getting lockers.Still doesn't seem worth it, especially asking about prices for the axle swap at a shop. If you scored cheap rubi axles and did the swap yourself you could end up pretty close to the price of a regear. Buying and paying for labor seems ineffective.
