I went with the Diver Down neoprene seat covers for the summer and have been pleasantly surprised by how much I like them. Plan to only run them during the summer months (~May - Sept) to protect the leather from UV and wet kids.

You can see a full write-up in my build thread, with pics. Only complaint thus far is that they don't include a front console cover. I bought one on Amazon for $20 but it just seems lazy to not include with the otherwise comprehensive kit.

Others universally recommended Bartact, and I believe they're probably a good option, but 2x+ what I was looking to spend.

depends on how much you’re able to spend. PRP and bartac get top reviews pretty consistently. i purchased the bartac and will never have a jeep without them again! love them! very expensive but very durable. i wish they made them for every vehicle!

Has anyone tried Marathon?

I’ve got the Smittybilt Gen II covers. They’ve held up perfectly for about a year so far. They were kinda tough to install due to the tight fit, but no complaints. I’d definitely buy again if the time ever comes.

Another vote for PRP. I love mine.

I had neoprene covers on my last jeep, and wasn’t a fan. They were fine, but way too hot and held too much heat when I sat in them in the summer when I ran doorless/topless.

I'm not crazy about the colors Bartact offers.

I had Marathons on my old JKUR and loved them.

When I got my JLURD, I found them to be more expensive and with less features than Bartact.

We are running the bartact rear seat cover to protect it from the dogs and gear and have been very happy with the fit and quality.

What are the Bartact ones made out of? I can't find it on the website.

What is the best material for seat covers?

I spent a lot of time in wetsuits and the thought of neoprene gives me flashbacks to some nasty smells.

It’s at the bottom of the product description. Cordura Nylon for at least some of their colors.
