Scepter Military Gas Cans

Anyone have a good source for the military (not the military style) gas cans in the US? Seem to be plenty in our attic but none down here.

Looking for the Scepter brand. They say they do not meet the EPA so they cannot sell to US market.

I like the Wavian but these are plastic and lighter.

Last week I sent an e-mail to Scepter and they replied:
The military gas cans are only available to the US Military, FEMA or other approved entities such as those.
They do not meet current EPA requirements so are not available to consumers.
Our distributor list should be on our website.


Does this mean that it is illegal to own these in the US and use them on the Jeep and for camping? Or, since these are "military-style" they are ok?

It sounds like like they can only sell to us government organizations that do not need to meet EPA requirments like the military or FEMA, but would be against the law to sell to average consumers like yourself. If you as the consumer had one in your possession no one will every care, they just make it hard for you to get one.
