I was wrong, they are still around and here is their history which talks about the owner making 4 door wranglers in the late 90sThere was a place on Ulmerton Rd in Largo FL that used to build them. I think the 4 door JKU put them out of business after a few years, but it was the 4 door conversions that inspired Jeep to make a 4 door.
I think there were some similar, but there are (were?) shops that would do conversions for these. This looks like one of those, that has been stretched, except it looks like it's actually built well.I've read about these before but never saw one. I understand they were built for foreign military service originally.
