I live Montana and there a fair amount of areas where getting signal on my satellite radio is spotty, does anyone know of an antenna booster that would help with getting better reception that works on the JL? possibly even replacing it with an external antenna?

Your JL antenna is below the hard or soft top which makes it essentially an external. Satellite signals are very susceptible to being blocked.

I’ve used https://www.xm-radio-satellite.com for specialized satellite radio items - an antenna for semi truck applications may be what you want

Use the app via CarPlay or Android Auto. I use the app when in the mountains bc the trees continually block the signal, but I still have cell service.
