Newbie here obviously. I’ve been a 3/4 ton diesel truck owner for many year, before that a Mustang enthusiast. I’ve been in a few car shows, several rides and cruise ins, and many online groups. I’ve always admired Jeep CJ’s and Wranglers. Even as an active duty Marine in the early 90’s, with oversight of 5 HMMWV’s, my allegiance was to the Corp’s history with the Jeep! My wife and I went to the beach several weeks ago, and by good fortune, I was able to rent a ‘20 Sahara for the week. We fell in love with it, and within 2 weeks I traded my F250 Diesel on a 2020 JLUR in Sarge Green. I could only find one in 2 states, it’s a black soft top. We’ve had it 2.5 weeks so far, and took it to the Great Smoky Mt. Nat’l park last week. 1600 miles as of today and I love it!! I’ll tell you right now, the whole Jeep community, in just a few short weeks, has impressed me! I am sold, and with the family you folks have, I just hope to be a member and friend in good standing for years to come! Thanks!!
I also served in the Corps back in the 90’s in Okinawa I also ordered myself a 2021 Sarge Green eco diesel rubicon hoping for delivery at the end of this month. I am also a newbie. Would be nice to have some battle buddies once I get rolling. I’m here in Pennsylvania if anyone is available

First post. My wife and I have built several vehicles and she decided she wanted to try a Jeep. I made her a deal if she could find all the parts to buy it and build it in one day I would build her one. She found a Mopar Lift in stock and called Big O tire and talked them into getting 4 different wheels from their warehouse so she could pick out the ones she wanted. We purchased the Jeep on Friday morning and got home at 2:15PM EST time and by 8:00 I had the build done and ready other than the alignment. She spent all afternoon running around and bringing back parts including the adjustable track bars for front and rear to re-center the axles. It turned out nice and she loves it so all is good! And yes...it has a 37 inch spare also!!lol

I have a RAM AEV that I keep for fun also but mostly we drive company cars so we don't put a lot of miles on them. Now I just have to figure out what to do with the pile of stock parts from it. They have 6 miles on them!!lol

Update to the parts list....Mopar 2 inch lift with fox shocks, dirty life wheels with 37 12.50R17 Toyo MT's, Warn EVO 10S winch. Mopar steel bumper winch mount which fits perfect but it is tight. rough country adjustable track bars to center the axles. ARB red diffcovers, we painted the axles with rust oleum satin brush on paint. Spray paint leaves microscopic holes from the aerosol and will allow moisture under the paint sometimes. New parts last week were the mopar headliner kit, and the 3 piece HotHeads panel to complete it along with the Mopar Sil guards. Put the complete weather tech floor liner system in it. We also installed the ASFIR skid plates for the 2.0 engine and transfer case but we will have them powder coated red in the near future. We will do a light bar in the future but the wife and I disagree on what light bar. I want the KC bar with red KC covers and she wants a Rigid black out dual row. It will be really nice and fully functional when done.

I also attached a picture of the AEV since I have been getting questions on that.

That looks great! If you don’t mind can you spell out your lift and which Warn that is for a newbie? Did you just cut out the front plate holder insert for the fairlead? Thanks.

From the looks of this thread the soft top is not a popular top to buy one with anymore. I may eventually get a black HT for mine but so far I’m loving the soft top. I put it down driving home from work every afternoon this week and it’s not loud at all.

I think it’s mainly because people keep so much recovery gear and other stuff in their Jeeps these days with the extra cargo space of the 4dr. I use to love the soft top on my last Jeep, but now I am going hard top to deter theft. It also helps keep the heat down in the summer with a hard top and roof mats. Soft top is definitely OG though and a top of fun. Happy trails!

Awesome! I picked up the same Willys!!

Did you paint the front row hooks or replace them with rubicon hooks?

If painted mind pointing me in the brand / color you used?

Thanks

Well I’ve had it one month today. Absolutely love the Sarge Green. I ordered it and kept going back and forth if I liked it.

Can you point me in the direction of where to get that tire cover? That is perfect! I'm not a big tire cover fan but that is awesome on the sarge green.

I got it at Just for Jeeps but ExtremeTerrain has it also.
