Trying to find a straight answer on the forums and Google but can't find one. Seeing if anyone with a Sahara was able to fit a 35 inch tire on their spare without a relocation bracket. I read Sports cannot but Rubicons can. But haven't heard anything about Sahara. Not sure if Sports and Saharas are the same? Thanks.

What bumper group do you have?

Steel may not as there is no flex.

Plastic will flex but itā€™d be a bitch to open the rear hatch.

Straight answer:
Sport, Sport S, Sahara are the same.

Spare tire reloc bracket is cheap and super easy to install. If I were you Iā€™d just go ahead and do it. Takes 10 mins tops with common tools.

Iā€™m assuming youā€™re lifted? I wouldnā€™t advise 35ā€™s with no lift on any of the above models.

I have a ā€˜20 Sahara with standard bumper package. Iā€™m running 35ā€™s. (TOYO Open Country A/T II XTREME). 35X12.50R20LT.

I required a relocation for my spare. It rubbed significantly on the bumper.

I went with the Rough Country relocation bracket. I am very pleased with it.

My 35 fits on my sport just fine, just barely rests On the bumper. I dont know why people are having fitment issues on sports. Unless the cut out is different for sport to sport s bumper styles Or the 315 vs 35 tiny size difference its making it

It would not fit for me. So very close though. I put relo bracket on.

BFG KO2 315/70R17 mounted on stock rubicon wheel. 34.5ā€ diameter i believe?

2019 Sahara with stock plastic bumper.

I have a MOAB with 315s and they fit on my stock mount with oem plastic bumper and now rubicon steel bumper. With he Rubi bumper the tire is a hair off the bumper but still not touching. With the Sahara bumper there was about an inch of space between the bumper and tire.

I have a sport s with a rubicon rear plastic bumper on and the rubicon k02 ā€œ33sā€ there is less than an inch of clearance between these tires and the bumper cut out in the cornersā€¦ What does the rubicon have that allows it to fit a 35 on the back? Is the spare mount different? Iā€™m starting to think itā€™s not the bumper that is unique..

I think thatā€™s the case. I only added the Mopar tailgate reinforcement to my Sahara without the relocation kit. Then I found a takeoff Rubicon carrier for $40 which is definitely higher and right now my (as measured) 34ā€ tire is an inch or more off the stock plastic bumper. Plenty of room for a true 35.
