@Bingy

Thanks to the look of your build I bought a set of the same size tires and Dirty Life wheels +6 offset. I also ordered a Rubicon Express 2 inch lift because the price was really good but I’ll probably wait to see if I want to install it. Are you still happy without a lift?

Also, I’m considering getting the tailgate reinforcement but I’ve read conflicting opinions on here as to whether or not it actually helps anything. What’s your opinion now?

My JL Sahara is still in shipping. Just trying to get all my ducks in a row.

I did go ahead with the Rubicon Express 2.0. Wanted to keep the factory rake. I also got a good deal a while back. I like the reinforcement kit for piece of mind. I am exceeding the weight limit of the rear gate per the specs so I figured better to have it and not need it.

Just purchased a VR winch this past weekend due to the deal I got. Been waiting on that for Black Friday.

Also got rid of plastic all the way around. Feel free to reach back for any more specifics.

Thanks, Dave. Such a beautiful rig you have! I think I’ll get the reinforcement kit just for peace of mind, if nothing else. Did you have to get the relocation bracket as well? I would think not but wanted to ask.

I did purchase the reinforcement gate through JustforJeeps...and yes, get the relocation piece as well.

Thanks so much. You’ve been extraordinary helpful and your build is awesome.

Tailgate reinforcement to be done next week when I get it in.
Tires and wheels are 86 lbs so piece of mind is what I want with the reinforcement.

Looks awesome dude, just got my first Sahara. And currently in the market for wheels and tires. Would you think 18x9 with an -12 offset I can fit a 295/70/18? Have the option to get the wheels with a 01mm offset but think the -12 would be safer?

Your current setup is 255/70/17s on stock rims that have a 44mm offset (I think). That -12 offset on 295/70/17s is going to push the tires out roughly 3’ from where the outer sidewall is now.

If you like that awesome build (and you should) I'd go w/ the +1 offset, tires will be a little closer to the fender, if you can find a wheel you like w/ a bit more offset, like his +18, even better (if you want a fit like his)

I agree. I would stick with the +1. -12 will stick out a bit.

Just ordered a set of mr305 17x8.5 0 offset and 295/70r17 trail grapplers. 2020 Sahara no lift or spacers. Will there be any issues running this?

My first aftermarket tires were that size and the wheels were +6 offset and they worked well. I didn’t run offroad until I got a lift so I can’t say for sure you won’t rub but I didn’t experience any rub during normal driving.

So same kinda question. Looking at the Fuel Shok wheel with 295/70/17 but having trouble deciding between the +1, or +20 offset in the 17 x 9 wheel. Really like the look of @Bingy set up. And are there any Class C in 295/17?

I'd probably go with the +1, if it was an 8.5" width I'd lean toward the +20. You'll have a bit more room on the inside which is a good thing :) And you still won't poke outside the fender too much, about 3/8" out from my setup (295s on a 8.5 +10)
