That looks fantastic! How many cans of plasti dip did it take and how has it held up since you completed the mod several months ago? Also, did you just use plasti dip on the front tow hooks as well?

I noticed on these part numbers for the grill and fog light inserts they are coming up as being chrome. I wanted a second set just incase I decide to swap back but if they are coming painted really no need.

FYI if you order the parts make sure you order the Left and right fog light trim pieces. When I ordered from mymoparoarts.com I only ordered one of them. The parts diagram makes it look like they would come as a pair because they are labeled worth the same number. So annoying.

Have not seen chrome ones but mine came black.

These come unpainted, molded in black and are OEM Mopar parts. This is the best price I have found buying them all from one source with free shipping ($188.10 total). The fog bezels come as a pair.

I replaced them with OEM parts. They come in black. The fog light bezel is lengthy job.

Okay, they just look shiny compared to others is all. But it looks good, still deciding if i want to do it.

I tested a few items and settled on engine paint. It had a metallic look and I liked the dark grey. 2 months and several car washes later - no chips or flaking. (Oh, and I tinted the turn signals. Much cleaner look)

I use the same paint spray for my tow hooks

So, I know this is a Sahara forum, and I have a Rubicon, but I was looking for some opinions. I have a Sting Gray Rubicon, and I love the red accents. I even installed red leather! But the look of the WHOLE insert being painted red is just a bit too much for me (no offense). Would you all make fun of me if I only paint two slots red? haha I cropped a photo so you can see what I mean.

Geoff, remove the plastic cover behind the bumper on each side, remove the screw that secures the insert, now you can pry off the insert with a flat plastic pry tool. Start at the end of the bumper and work your way to the center. Hope this helps.[/QUOTE

I went ahead and taped them off. Used gecko tape and took my time. No issues getting it clean and no overspray or missed areas.

What paint did you use?
