Sahara Grill/Headlight/Bumper Inserts - Changing to Black?

Hi Everyone -

Have a 22 Sahara on order - I want to change the silver trim around the grill/headlights and on the sides of the bumpers to black - seems that I can't find anything to do this (everything I have found is for models without this factory trim installed) - anyone have a link to a product or any tips or tricks? Its one of the first things I want to do when I take delivery....

Your best bet would be to try and find one used on the forum and then just swap out the trim pieces. I sold my grille to someone who ordered and Sahara 4xe and he bought it just to swap out the black trim. I believe the new ones from Mopar come unpainted.

Plasti Dip is your friend. You can make whatever you want whatever color you want.

I painted mine. $5 for the can of spray paint from Home Depot and a day to dry.

I know you can get the black inserts to replace the chrome. I seen a guy put in a satin grill and the inserts just clipped into the grill. If I understood your request correctly. They are sold by many different online shops like Extreme Terrain. They are not very expensive either. They may even have headlight rings.
