Hello, bought some JLU Rubicon springs off a fellow member and wanted to confirm the correct sides. I have searched and believe the higher spring number goes on the passenger side but one of the front spring numbers (68253662AC) I have not seen mentioned online. The 2019 JLU Rubicon these came off of was optioned with: tow package, steel bumpers and dual top.

Rear springs numbers:

68253592AA (passenger side?)
68253591AA (driver side?)

Front spring numbers:

68253662AC (passenger side?)
68253661AC (driver side?)

Thanks!

It depends on the build code because it could be either or. So if it’s “ZBY” it could be left rear or if it’s “ZPY” it could be right rear for part number 68253591AA which is rear spring

Edit: ignore this look above ^^^

You got the best spring numbers. I bought takeoffs from a Rubicon with all of the options but only got 60/61 in the front. I think Jeep revised the springs on newer JLs. What’s the build date of the Jeep that you bought parts from? The date should be on a white paper sticker on the shocks.

Larger number goes on the passenger side. So 61FL/62FR and 91RL/92RR for your springs.

what he said, I got 60/62 front and 91/92 rear, but yes 61/62 front would have been ideal.

I appreciate all the input. Got them on, higher spring part numbers on the passenger side. I’ll post pics later.

Before specs:

Passenger front 35-1/4
Driver front 35-1/2
Passenger rear 36-1/4
Driver rear 36-1/4

After specs:
Passenger front 37-1/2
Driver front 37-1/2
Passenger rear 38
Driver rear 38

I expect the height to come down a little once I drive and the suspension settles. I had only driven a few miles before checking post install measurements. I had a full tank of fuel for all measurements. And my tape measure readings maybe not be absolutely on but they are very close to what I stated above. And the measurements were from the ground to the bottom of the fender.

Once I drive it more, I can give my impression on ride and what the measurements end up after settling. I had hoped to retain the approximate 1” rake and maybe when it settles it will have a little more. But I’m happy with the initial results....

This tag says date 2-18-2019 so assuming that’s the build date....

Jumping in a bit late here, but I have another data point about different spring configurations of the Rubis but perhaps also the year. There is a Rubi take off suspension available here locally from a 2020 2.0L 4cyl, Unlimited Rubi with hardtop, no tow package, & steel bumper, with front springs both 661AD for driver and passenger and both rear springs were 591AA for driver and passenger. So it seem that not only are the springs different based on config of the RUBI, but year of build might also be a factor.
So, kind of new to Wrangler mods, but for after market springs, are they typically different size/length between driver and passenger side or the same? Just wondering if makes that much difference and to what; I know length difference between front and back makes a difference in rake, but what does 1/4 inch difference between driver and passenger do?
Thanks
G

I just picked up a ‘21 Rubicon with 3500 miles and I’m suspicious it has Sahara springs on it. The rear is 89/90. The front tags are already gone. Weird at the least.

Looking back now, it has come with Sahara side steps but I figured they might have been short etc. I think they owned a Sahara too and swapped before trading…or it was a voluntary repo and they scavenged parts before it was turned in. I’ve submitted my VIN for Benny at Allmoparparts to verify the original springs part numbers it came with. I think my guess is spot on though. I’ve not heard of a HT, Tow group, steel bumper Rubicon have numbers that low out back.

This is WAY confusing.

I just got a set of rubi suspension. 3 of the 4 springs had tags:
3592AA / 3597AA / 3662AC (4th spring - no tag). It came from a JLU 2.0T (not sure of year).

3592 is listed as: Rear Coil Spring, Left, Rear Coil Spring, Right, Spring (might be RT Rear)
3597 is listed as: Rear Coil Spring, Left, Rear Coil Spring, Right, Spring
3662 is listed as: Front Coil Spring, Left, Front Coil Spring, Right, Spring (might be RT front)

can anyone help clarify this ?

Thanks

92 Driver Rear, 97 Pass rear, 62…I’ve seen on both driver & passenger sides or odd number (61) on the driver/62 on the passenger.

With 62 being the highest I’ve seen on a gas 4 dr, I’d put the missing tag spring on the driver front.

So Far this is what I've been able to figure out:

The springs on my Willy's
68253658AD Drivers Front
68253659AD Passengers Front

68253587AA Drivers Rear
68253588AA Passengers Rear

the rubicon springs:

3662 RF this would become Passengers Front
XXXX LF this is probably 3661 and would become Drivers Front

3592 RR this could be EITHER rear - if used with a 3591 it should go on the Passengers side

3597 this apparently came from a rubicon with some options. it was probably on the passengers side. If the rule of thumb (each number up = 1/3 of and inch), I would not want to use this and should look for a 3591 - 3592 spring.

The front springs seem almost level (enough to compensate for the gas tank or battery)

The rear springs seem much further apart (big one 3597 probably should not be used)

I gave you the info. I’ve run some VIN’s in the past. It would be as both you and I said on the front. The 97 would be on the passenger side because I ran a VIN like that. It had steel bumper, hardtop, towing, and that optional cargo rail system in the back.
