Sahara Fuel Door

Do Sahara's actually come with the fuel door cover? Anyone have one that can confirm?

I have seen photos and documentation stating both sides.

Interesting. Even the Sahara at the Detroit auto show has the fuel door. I don't even recall it being an option unless ordered separately via Mopar.

According to the order guide it is not included and not an option for Sahara. It is available through MOPAR.

Is this the same as would be for a 2017? I bought one for my 2017 Sahara.

I can confirm that it does not come with a fuel door. I have a Sahara and the fuel cap can be removed by anyone. Will be buying the lock cap with a door soon hopefully. Although, the Mopar door is quite pricey.

Update: I was made aware this was included with early production/testing Sahara's, and now it is currently not standard with Sahara's, but will be an option again later this year.

I just received our 2021 on Monday it came on it from my order.

Geez, considering that FCA rises the price of these Jeeps several hundred dollars every couple months, and that fuel door probably cost them $25, how cheap can FCA really be?

I like how the factory door has the word FUEL on it. They should offer that same one to those that have to add it after the fact. Mopar charges a pretty penny for the one with JEEP.

Mine was early production (build date March 2018), delivery in July. Mine did not come with the fuel door, and it wasn't an option when ordering. I had to add mine after delivery. Found a good price for it thanks to a thread on the forum here. Install was pretty easy too.

As I understood it, they are optional on the Sahara now but can't confirm.
