Hey there, I’m new to the jeep community.
I purchased a used Sahara bumper locally with the intentions on installing it on my jlu sport s. Has anyone done this? How difficult is it. Better yet is it even compatible?
If anyone has any info or experiences please help me .
Thanks again!

Took a Sahara bumper off, it’s just bolts and screws and clips.

Maybe I'm wrong, but aren't the Sport and Sahara (plastic) bumper the same?
Except for the trim around the driving lights(can be swapped?). Am I missing something here?
I thought the same thing.

It should bolt up just fine. I bolted a steel Rubi bumper onto my Sport. Everything lined up but I did have to loosen a few items.

Did you need any suspension changes with the weight of the rubi steel bumper on the sport?

There is a weight difference but not a huge amount. The weight difference seems to come in when you add a winch/steel combo. BTW I had the Rubicon springs installed to get a bit more clearance.

Was going to install today. But. Looks like the fog light brackets are different between the sport and Sahara bumper. And I do not have the Sahara brackets. Anybody in here have any that swapped there’s?

Just a thought but are the lights interchangeable if you pulled them from the brackets? I take it your Sahara bumper had no lights?

The Sahara bumper came with the fog lights. But not the bracket. And it looks to be that the sport bracket is different

I have a set of LED fogs that fit the Sahara and Rubicon plastic bumpers I'd be willing to sell.

I really just need the brackets that’ hold the fog lights in

I actually just did this yesterday and transferred over the sport lights and housing unit over to the Sahara bumper. Takes some modifications bc the light brackets are actually different on the Sahara. All in all it is doable but just takes some time to make some small modifications to the plastic light holder to have it fit and stay locked in place.

Outside is very similar to the sport except for the silver trim. Inside is configured a little differently than the sport but the bolts and everything do line up when putting it on the Jeep.

Make sure you have a deep 18mm socket because the bolts are pretty long!
